DAISIES OF APRIL
Early Childhood Music
April showers grow little flowers.
The Daisy represents purity. We see each child like a delicate flower: full of new beginnings, innate creativity and yearning for a place to grow.
Our music classroom is the perfect environment to offer these budding musicians the gentle warmth, encouragement, and support it takes to grow their musical selves.
Come along and let us nurture that growth alongside you.
MORE ABOUT APRIL'S MUSIC
The right start...
Daisies of April music class nurtures the innate creativity of the young child through an imaginative, play-along, and experiential approach to music learning in every lesson. With over 30 years experience in Early Childhood music education, Daisies' classes place the child at the center of the experience with hands-on instrumentation as well as live music exposure. We believe each child is an innate creator and artist. Come encourage the budding musician in your child along with us! April
MUSICÂ EDUCATIONÂ FOR THE YOUNG CHILD
MUSICAL STORY TIME
Our story time is like no other! Every week our book contains surprising musical elements and soundscapes. Tree frogs croak as we play our frog guiro instruments...Sometimes, we even bring our drums right in the middle of our story time to express the rhythms we learn in the words and poems we find in the story book itself! Other times we invite our blues band to help us sing along with live musicians. Again, it is a story time like no other!
THE ART & MUSIC CONNECTION
Our classroom approach seeks to connect the artistic child and the musically expressive child.  We use large motor movement, imagination, and coloring utensils to draw soundscapes inspired by musical backdrops.
MOVEMENT & INSTRUMENTATION
Did you know that the best skills we bring to any instrument are the understanding of the dynamics of the world around us? Â Fast. Slow. Bumpy. Soft. Warm. Beautiful. Colorful. Light. Heavy. Â
Our music is an imitation and animation of the ways we experience life.  The rest is just easy!
The mind is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled.
